Google Assistant for all Huawei phones || How to Install Google Assistant on Huawei P9, P9 Lite, P9 Plus, P8, P8 Lite in 2019
Google have been trying all they could to see that they're able to provide us with an assistant which will help us in operating our Android device, give orders and other things.

 Since Google has already been able to create such feature in an Android device, it's now left for us to know the content of the package they brought to us and also learn how to use it.

Earlier, Google first introduced to us Google Voice Search which was popularly known as Okay Google which works on all Android devices and now they're coming up with this recent update which works only on Marshmallow and Nougat update. Introducing to you the new Google Assistant.

Google Assistant is being smart than Google Now was. The Google company included Google Assistant on Google Pixel and Pixel XL for the first time.

While now, Google has started rolling out its newest application, that replaces Google Now so, Google Assistant for all Android devices.

Now for now Google Assistant supports only devices that have installed Android Nougat and Marshmallow OS. Also, Google Assistant does not only support English language but also German, Hindi, Japanese, and Portuguese languages as well.

Since, Google has already started pushing out Google Assistant for Android devices in different phases it means that you may not get this powerful application on your Huawei smartphone in the country you live today.

Also know that this guide supports only Huawei devices that have been updated to Android Nougat or Marshmallow OS.

Huawei devices which already have received any of the mentioned Android operating systems are: Huawei P9, P9 Lite, P9 Plus, Huawei P8, P8 Lite, Mate 9, Honor 8, 6X, V8, 5C, Enjoy 6s and some other Huawei phones.

Before embarking on installing Google Assistant in your Huawei device, there are some downloads and requirements needed for it.

  • Install the Latest Google play service: The first step which is required to install Google Assistant on any Huawei smartphone is to install latest Google Play services. This component provides core functionality like authentication to your Google services. Thus, make you’ve installed the latest version on your Android smartphone but if you already have the updated version of Google play service then leave it like it is. 
  • Install the latest Google browser: Google has developed Google Assistant you need to tell Google that you’re really a Google and Android lover. 
  • Change your Huawei phone's language to English: As mentioned above, Google will slowly roll out Google Assistant in phases. So, change your Huawei phone’s language to English and only then you will be able to install Google Assistant on Huawei phones.
Note: If you’ve tried to perform all of the above steps and an update has not appeared to install Google Assistant all you need is to navigate to your SETTINGS then  to >> Apps, Click on» Google App after which you» Clear Data and cache. Once, you are done reboot your Huawei smartphone and you should be able to get it.

Firstly it was Google Voice Search and now it is Google Assistant and yes it works both offline and online but for it to work offline - you need to download an additional file inside the Google Assistant app.
