After a period of closure to upgrade from 2017, Apple yesterday officially reopened the legendary store located at Fifth Avenue in New York.

The late Apple CEO Steve Jobs opened the store in 2006 and personally welcomed the first customers to enter. Since then, Apple Fifth Avenue has had more than 57 million visitors, more than the Statue of Liberty or Empire State Building. The glass blocks were a beacon and an important clue for product launch began with the first iPhone in 2007.

The old underground store was destroyed and Apple started all over again with the help of architecture firm Foster and Partners.

The square around the cube was also remade with 62 circular skylights that shone natural light onto the store below. To the left and right of the cube are a total of 18 of what Apple calls the sky lens, including shiny metal chairs that can also provide a panoramic view below the store.

Apple has added two entrances to the new store. Therefore, the main entrance at the front door through the spiral staircase will no longer be the sole entry fault of this Apple Store. However, many people will prefer to follow this traditional and characteristic way. Hence, this Apple Store staircase is also made of stainless steel instead of glass.

A free forum will take place every day to capture the creative spirit of New York. The area reserved for Geniuses has also doubled allowing the group to significantly increase its service capacity. This is still Apple's only retail location that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

While in a speech yesterday, the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook said “Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and Apple Fifth Avenue is for them, to inspire and to provide the best place to discover our latest products.” Cook continues “It's one of the most unique Apple stores and thus, it is back with welcome and even more beautiful than ever. We are so proud to be part of this wonderful city, where so much happens every day.”

Deirdre O'Brien, the Senior Vice President of the company said “We couldn't be more excited and more willing to welcome customers back to Apple Fifth Avenue,” he further said “Not only is the new space and experience completely inspiring, our great retail geniuses, creative experts and experts have worked very hard to prepare for this day. Whoever they are and the talent they bring is essential to the excellence we strive for Apple.”

Both Apple CEO Tim Cook and senior vice president of Apple Retail, Deirdre O'Brien attended the launch event of the new store on the day the iPhone trio officially opened for sale in the country.

The space inside the new Apple Store also brings the community of this store system with lots of trees, large screens and seats.

Meanwhile, Apple Fifth Avenue will have 900 employees with the ability to speak more than 30 languages. With the all-new Apple Watch Series 5, customers can experience the very personal Apple Watch Studio to create a custom Apple Watch that expresses their individual style.

As for iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, experts can assist customers with free personal settings to find the right package, transfer data and start enjoying the new iPhone for the fastest and easiest way. And with the Apple Trade In program, the iPhone is even more affordable.
