Despite declining international sales, the Huawei Mate 30 series has had positive sales on the first day of sale in China. The Mate 30 4G versions were officially sold on September 26 in China via e-commerce site VMall.com. As for the 5G version of this device, it is reported to go on sale in November.

According to Huawei, the company's first-day sales have reached more than $ 70 million. Contributing significantly to this high turnover is the company's strong discount policy when selling.

During the launch, Mate 30 sold for 3,999 yuan (about 561 USD) 35% lower than the initial price of 874 USD that was recently announced by the company at the event in Munich. However, Huawei's CEO, Richard Yu made the discount announcement on Chinese social networks.

Additionally, due to the fact that Android devices sold in China have not been able to access Google services for a long time, the absence of applications on Huawei Mate 30 will not affect sales in the Chinese market.

The launch strategy of the discount shows Huawei's strong efforts to increase growth in the domestic market, as the door to international markets is narrower.

Meanwhile, they do hope that the increase in sales will help the company to bring down Samsung's market share in the global market, as well as create motivation for the Mate 30 sales in the international market.
