A number of iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro users have reported having an 'Ultra Wideband Update Failed' error after updating to iOS 13.1.3 and iOS 13.2 beta 3 or even iOS 13.1.1 in rare cases.

This affects the iPhone's ability to transfer files via AirDrop because it uses the new U1 ultra-band chip. This issue is discussed in various online forums, including Apple's forum.

Users from Apple forums, Reddit and MacRumors forums have shared that they are experiencing an error with the 'Ultra Wideband Update Failed' message appearing on iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Ultra-wideband is a new technology that enables accurate location detection, even indoors, with an error of just a few centimeters.

On the support page, Apple said that if this error appears, the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and Pro Max will not be able to use Ultra Wideband related features until it is updated.

Some users have shared that they can fix the error themselves by returning iPhone to DFU mode and restore iOS. Then restore your iCloud or iTunes backup and the error message will disappear.

While some people were unable to yo restore back their device using the above method, they go to Apple store and seek for a replacement.
