Huawei's first mobile phone equipped with Hongmeng system will be available in August next year

Recently, according to Russia’s "Lenta", quoting a Huawei company spokesperson, the first mobile phone equipped with the HongmengOS (HarmonyOS) will be available in August next year.

Huawei's independent research and development department is more willing to use the Android operating system on its own brand of mobile phones.

Huaweii stated that Hongmeng's operating system will be open sourced for regular updates.

The operating system can be used not only on smartphones, but also on smart watches, computers and other Huawei devices.

According to the assessment of market research organization Counterpoint Research, Hongmeng operating system will gain 2% market share in 2020, and will surpass Linux to become the world's fifth largest operating system

Hongmeng operating system was officially launched on August 9. In May this year, the U.S. Department of Commerce included Huawei and its subsidiaries on the "Entity List", leaving Huawei phones with the inability to use the Android system commercially.
