According to Taiwanese media reports, TSMC is producing the A14 Bionic processor for Apple, which is manufactured using a 5nm process.
The media however, said that in 2020 Apple will launch 4 iPhone products to the market and the new iPhone is equipped with a powerful A14 Bionic processor.
The media also revealed that the A14 processor will begin trial production in early 2020, with mass production in the Q2 quarter of this year.
In addition, it was revealed that Apple's 5G network-enabled mobile phones will be launched with A14 processors and Snapdragon X55 basebands.
Since Apple introduced its own A-series processors, A-series processors have been at the forefront of the industry. Apple's A13 processor, released last year uses TSMC's 7nm process and focuses on 8.5 billion transistors.
The CPU has two high-performance cores, which is 20% faster and 30% lower in power consumption than the previous generation.
Additionally, the A13 processor has an 8-core neural computing engine. It is estimated that the neural computing capacity of the A14 processor will be greatly improved.
Some analysts previously said that 2020 will be a year of explosive growth in the number of 5G mobile phones. It is a wise decision for Apple to choose to launch 5G mobile phones during this period, and it will allow consumers to use 5G faster Internet iPhone.
