Two useful features but few people know about Windows 10 May 2020 || How to enable PUA protection in Windows 10 || how to enable potentially unwanted applications protection in Windows 10

Perhaps the majority of users now have updated and experienced Windows 10 MAY 2020. In addition to improvements in the performance of the operating system, increasing the access speed with the HDD, this version also comes with two quite useful features that not every user knows. Let's see what those two features are.

1.) Enable “PUA” Protection - To Block Malware And Unsafe Surf:

Microsoft has added a new security feature for users, helping the PC to avoid malware. Some software on the Internet when installed will make the device slow down due to malware or detecting trojans to steal users ID.

Windows 10 MAY 2020 update has a feature that can detect and prevent you from installing malicious applications. However, this feature is known as Potentially Unwanted Applications - PUA. By default, this feature will not be enabled unless you toggle it on.

How To Enable PUA Protection:
Step 1: Press Windows + I to open Settings

Step 2: Click Update & Security=> Windows Security.

Step 3: Find the App & browser control page and open the Reputation-based protection settings.

2.) Install Any Software With Just One Command Line In Windows 10:

Microsoft recently released a utility called Windows Package Manager. With this utility, you can install the software with just one command, no need to click Next as before anymore.

However, if you'd like to learn more about Windows Package Manager, click on this link so as to visit the official documentation.

Instructions for installing Windows Package Manager:
  1. Register to experience this utility at Microsoft Forms
  2. Download and install the Get App Installer application from Microsoft Store.
  3. Download some installation of Windows Package Manager .appxbundle from Github. Once downloaded, click File, then Update.
  4. After installation is complete, open CMD or PowerShell to type the command: winget search vlc.
  5. If the software is found, type: winget install vlc to proceed with the installation.
  6. You will find everything from popular Windows applications to developer tools. This list includes Chrome, Firefox, Zoom, Steam, VLC, Spotify, Windows Terminal, Visual Studio Code, Ruby, Microsoft PowerToys ...

Set up these 2 new features on your Windows 10 May 2020 device. Wish you have a great experience!
