In May, veteran analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggested that Apple is not planning to include a wired EarPods headset inside the iPhone 12 box, just like previous iPhones.

Now, Dan Ives analyst at Wedbush revealed the same thing: "According to our tests, it is likely that there will be no wired EarPods headset included inside the iPhone 12 box." This will boost AirPods sales much higher. However, the analyst believes that Apple will sell 85 million AirPods in 2020, much higher than 65 million units in 2019.

In addition to expanding its line of products with the AirPods Pro noise-canceling wireless headset last year, it was also reported that Apple intends to add new AirPods products: over-ear headphones named " AirPods Studio, "due for release this fall.

Regarding the iPhone 12, Wedbush expects 4 variants, combining 4G and 5G. It's not clear whether all iPhone 12 models will support 5G, and if so, mmWave or sub-6GHz or both.

Wedbush predicts that the iPhone 12 in the US will support mmWave. The mmWave band supports relatively high bandwidth networks, but has difficulty in transmitting signals across walls. This means that the service cannot be used indoors. MmWave deployment is also limited internationally because most carriers apply sub-6GHz to the original 5G service.

The good news from Wedbush is that the supply chain disruption caused by coronavirus has been resolved. Apple has restored the supply chain to a relatively normal level for the iPhone 12. Wedbush believes that Apple will be ready to ship iPhone 12 to customers in early October.
