LG is considering exiting the smartphone business
LG May Stop Making Smartphones By The End Of 2021
According to recent reports, the head of LG, Kwon Bong-Sok, notified his employees that by the end of 2021, the mobile industry within the company will face global changes - while the possibility of both selling the division and reducing it is being considered.
According to the data presented, over the past 5 years, the South Korean smartphone division has lost about $ 4.5 billion.
At the recently held CES 2020, the vendor unveiled the LG Rollable , a roll-up smartphone. Perhaps, because of the "winding down" business of the company, it is now destined to remain only a concept.
