Tesla Partners With Samsung To Develop A 5nm Fully Automated Driving Chip
Recently, it was reported that Tesla has cooperated with Samsung to develop a brand new 5nm chip that will be used for fully automated driving. This is not the first collaboration between Tesla and Samsung.

Samsung has already produced chips for Tesla’s Hardware 3.0 computer, but this is based on the 14nm process. According to reports, Samsung will use its highly advanced 5nm EUV process to produce the latest chips for Tesla.

The report indicates that this new chip may not be put into production before the fourth quarter of 2021. Therefore, we may not see the improvements made to Tesla's autonomous driving technology until next year.
