MIUI 12.5 is Xiaomi's latest operating system on Xiaomi devices that was announced last month as an improvement to the MIUI 12 software program with lots type of updates. MIUI 12.5 brought enhanced privacy controls and new animations amongst other functionalities.
Now, the corporate has officially announced that it's starting to release the update of the developer version of MIUI 12.5 for 28 smartphones.
The listing includes the recently-launched Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10 Extreme, Mi 11, Mi 10 Youth Edition, Mi 9, Mi 9 Pro, Mi 9 Clear Unique Version, Mi 9SE, Mi CC9 Professional, Mi CC9, Mi CC9e, and Mi CC9 Meitu Customized Version.
Xiaomi introduced the rollout of MIUI 12.5 Developer Edition for China as of now, in keeping with an official Weibo post. Several Redmi smartphones are also listed among the many 28 smartphones that will get the update.
Xiaomi had previously confirmed that the stable update for MIUI 12.5 will start for the first batch of phones in April 2021. Smartphones in China will receive the update first, after which Xiaomi will announce the expansion to international markets at a later stage.
The list of Xiaomi devices that will receive the MIUI 12.5 update includes Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi 10X, Redmi 10X Pro, Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K30 Pro, Redmi K30S Extreme Commemorative Edition, Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition, Redmi K30, Redmi K30 5G, and Redmi K30i 5G.
MIUI 12.5 comes with a number of new features in Xiaomi smartphones together with lower power and memory consumption, higher optimization of system applications, and better graphics rendering over MIUI 12.
Further, it will give animated Super Wallpapers and comes with the flexibility to prompt users with a pop-up when an app makes an attempt to enter their clipboard data. MIUI 12.5 also brings a choice to share approximate location as a substitute for the exact location with certain mobile apps.
