Apple's AR Glasses Are Expected To Launch By The End Of 2024

There's a lot going on when it comes to Apple's rumored mixed reality glasses, which are expected to combine both AR and VR technologies into a single device.

However, the company is also working on a separate version of the AR glasses, and according to Haitong Intl Tech Research analyst Jeff Pi, this product will be announced by the end of 2024 with the second-generation VR headset.

In a note revealed to 9to5Mac, analyst Jeff Pu mentions that Luxshare will remain one of Apple's main suppliers for devices from late 2022 to 2024.

Among all devices In this article, the analyst emphasizes on a series of products such as Apple Watch Series 8, iPhone 14 and AR/VR glasses. At the same time, it also predicts the launch time in the second half of 2024.

At this point, details about Apple's AR glasses have not been revealed much. What we do know so far is that, unlike mixed reality glasses, the new AR glasses will rely heavily on iPhones due to design limitations.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed in 2019 that the rumored "Apple Glasses" would function more like a secondary display for the iPhone, similar to the first-generation Apple Watch.

Mixed reality glasses, on the other hand, must have a large design to accommodate powerful hardware, help process AR and VR data in high resolution, and work independently of other Apple devices.

Interestingly, while most of the rumors still focus on Apple's first generation of AR/VR glasses, Jeff Pu mentions in his report that the company is already planning a second generation of glasses by the end of 2024 with new AR glasses.

This is not surprising as the analyst still believes that Apple's first VR headset will be announced in early 2023.
