Publisher Digerati and developer Digital Happines announced on Wednesday that DreadOut 2, a third-person horror game, will be released on July 20 for PS4 and PS5. Already on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, the premiere is scheduled for July 15th.
Originally released for PC in February 2020, the sequel draws inspiration from Indonesian folklore and urban legends. Here, players will control student Linda Melinda, who has supernatural talents and can see ghosts. Check out the trailer:
In DreadOut 2, Linda must save her hometown (and potentially all of humanity) from evil spirits. She will have to explore many mysterious corners of the place to find answers by talking to living and deceased residents. During their journey, the player will be able to fill a “bestiary” of ghosts on their smartphone, the “Ghostpedia”.
