Apple Q3/2022: $19.4 billion in profit on $83 billion in revenue
Apple today announced financial results for the third fiscal quarter of 2022, which corresponds to the second quarter of the year.

For the quarter, Apple posted revenue of $83 billion and quarterly net profit of $19.4 billion, or $1.20 per share. By comparison, the company posted revenue of $81.4 billion last year and net income of $21.7 billion, or $1.30 per share.

According to CFO Luca Maestri, gross margin for the quarter was 43.3%. Apple also announced a quarterly dividend of $0.23 per share, paid on August 11 to shareholders.

iPhone and services sales hit a record in the third quarter, while sales of Mac, iPad and “wearables, Home and accessories” fell.

  • iPad: $7.2 billion, down from $7.3 billion last quarter

  • Wearables, Home and Accessories: $8 billion, down from $8.7 billion in the previous quarter
  • Services: $19.6 billion, up from $17.4 billion in the previous quarter.
