Century: Age of Ashes was scheduled to arrive on consoles later this July, but couldn't make it. However, the release date has been shifted
With four different modes, epic battles between dragons and several customization options, Century: Age Of Ashes is the new bet for the free-to-play gaming scene. The title features huge creatures with different abilities and allows for various combat approaches.

Recently, developer Playwing has announced that Century: Age Of Ashes has officially been delayed to late 2022. Slated to arrive this July on PS4 and PS5, the free-to-play dragons will need more time to get its "quality" adjusted, in order to become fully compatible with both platforms.

The information was revealed through an official statement and confirmed that only the PlayStation versions will be delayed. Fortunately, everything points to the good progress of the title and its progression to the state of "gold", with the arrival of the first season, A Shadow Over Skeld. Read the statement below:
First, please accept our humble apologies. Some of you might be wondering why this delay is happening so close to launch; see below for more details.

Delaying a release is never pleasant, even more so when we know there are a huge number of gamers wanting to play on PlayStation platforms, and this will likely be a turning point in the life of Century: Age Of Ashes. Passing certification on PlayStation — what we call 'going gold' — right after the launch of Xbox One and the release of the debut season, 'A Shadow Over Skeld', is a tough challenge. So we'll need a little more time to make sure we meet the quality standards to launch on these two platforms.

We know that not sharing an exact release date might raise some concerns, but rest assured, bringing out Century: Age Of Ashes is our next big release. Our team is hard at work debugging the PS4 and PS5 version, while also improving the recently released Xbox One version. The first season is also being worked on for its balance issues and preparation for future content.

This is now the last snippet before Century takes off on PlayStation, which means it's only a matter of days before we share a release date with you all. Thank you for your continued patience and support of Century: Age Of Ashes. The team of the century.

Furthermore, in addition to offering three classes of dragons, the game has a progression with many unlockables, including cosmetics and monster species. Its game mechanics are designed to ensure balance between participants and avoid the appeal of pay-to-win.
