Galaxy S23 Ultra's Super Zoom Camera Will Not Get Any Major Upgrades

The telephoto (zoom) camera is one of the most prominent features on Samsung's "Ultra" Galaxy S flagships, It is known that the Galaxy S22 Ultra has a telephoto camera that offers an impressive 10x optical zoom.

However, the Galaxy S23 Ultra won't get any major upgrade from it's predecessor. So If you were hoping the successor to this phone would bring a major upgrade, the latest leak will disappoint you.

A new report claims that Samsung will continue to stick with a 10-megapixel telephoto camera that supports 10x optical zoom for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The company seems to feel that, if something isn't broken, there's no need to fix it.

The folks at GalaxyClub heard that the basic specifications of the Galaxy S23 Ultra telephoto camera will be exactly the same as that of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

It's possible that Samsung could improve the senor in other ways with better optics and related improvements, but the maximum resolution and optical zoom will remain at 10 megapixels and 10x respectively.

Since the Galaxy S23 Ultra also has another telephoto camera, the specifics for the second zoom sensor are unknown. It will probably remain at 10 megapixel resolution and 3x optical zoom. A recent report has indicated that the standard Galaxy S23 will also have this camera.

There is no information about the other camera sensors of the Galaxy S23 Ultra at this time. There have been some rumors that the main sensor of the phone will own a huge resolution of 200 megapixels.
