It has been reported recently that lucid has experienced two battery-related fire accident so far at Arizona plant
According to a recent report released by Drive Tesla Canada, Lucid’s Arizona factory suffered two fires in just four months.

Lucid is currently steadily ramping up production at its Casa Grande facility. According to fire department records, two fires at the plant were related to electric vehicle batteries.

The first fire occurred on March 14, 2022, at Lucid’s powertrain center. Car battery fires, even when the flames are extinguished, continue to reignite as the rising heat continues to affect more cells. One person was injured in the accident.

After that, in June, the plant caught fire again, and when firefighters arrived, the battery was partially submerged in water outside the plant, injuring four workers.

Currently, Lucid is vigorously ramping up production of its flagship luxury electric car, the Air, which began deliveries in September last year, and was hampered by the fire. Lucid's target production for this year is between 12,000 and 14,000 vehicles .

However, EV production and fire incidents are no strangers, and other EV makers have reported similar incidents, such as startup Canoo, which recorded two battery-related fires, and Rivian's Nomar, Illinois plant that has dealt with at least one Three fires.
