Porsche plan to add a new luxury pure electric SUV to Porsche's lineup," this was announced at Porsche's Capital Markets Day
Porsche all-electric Macan SUV has been delayed due to software development problems with Porsche parent company Volkswagen Group. However, this appears to have boosted the development of another of Porsche's flagship new pure electric SUVs.

Porsche CEO Oliver Blume in a statement said "We plan to add a new luxury pure electric SUV to Porsche's lineup," he, however, announced the plan at Porsche's Capital Markets Day, according to Automotive News Europe.

He further stretched saying "Model, which will be built at our factory in Leipzig, Germany, which will further enhance our position in the luxury segment. And we are targeting higher-margin segments, which will lead to new sales opportunities.”

Porsche said the flagship pure electric SUV, internally code-named "K1" and positioned higher than the Cayenne and Macan, will be launched in 2025, and the car will be equipped with some of the technology from the Mission R concept car shown at the IAA Motor Show in Munich last year. Including its direct oil-cooled electric motor.

AndroBliz learnt that Mission R uses natural fiber reinforced plastic (NFRP) instead of traditional carbon fiber materials.

And the Mission R has a 920-volt power system and a high-performance battery, which means that the Mission R has a good performance in terms of battery life and charging speed.

At present, Porsche has not confirmed whether these components will be brought to the new flagship pure electric SUV, but the SUV is likely to have three rows of seats, which will be the first time Porsche has launched a model with three rows of seats.
