Recently, popular sports time brand Adidas announced a pair of Powerfoyle solar-powered wireless headphones from Exeger RPT-02 SOL with up to 80 hours of battery life.

Each headband is part of a light-to-energy converter, which means the device can continuously charge as the user moves around under natural (or artificial) light.

On the light-collecting headband, there will be an indicator light to help detect a strong light source to create the fastest and strongest charging speed.

The on-ear cans are equipped with 45mm dynamic drivers with a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz and standard Bluetooth 5.2 wireless connectivity for a range of up to 10m.

The five-way control knob handles pairing and power on/off as well as basic audio controls, but it's better to customize via Adidas' own app. The built-in microphone allows interaction with the voice assistant.

The RPT-02 SOL is IPX4 water resistant and available in Gray or Yellow colors. Adidas notes that 51% of the headphones contain plastic, of which 87% are used recycled materials.

What's more, the inner headband and ear cushions are removable and washable, meaning odors shouldn't be a concern, as long as you keep them clean.

As for battery life, Adidas claims the cans can provide up to 80 hours of playback when no natural power source is available (at night or in dimly lit places, for example).

When exposed to light, you can achieve unlimited usage time (depending on lighting conditions, of course). Wired charging can be used with the USB-C port, and it takes about two hours to fully charge.

Currently, the Adidas RPT-02 SOL wireless headphones are available for pre-order for $229 and shipping on August 24.
