Galaxy S23 Ultra Will Have Qualcomm's 3D Sonic Max Fingerprint Reader, Improving The Authentication Area

Despite being out for a while, Qualcomm's 3D Sonic Max fingerprint sensor has yet to appear in any Samsung smartphone for unknown reasons.

However, it looks like that will change next year after it was rumored that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will use Qualcomm's next-generation ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Currently, Chinese manufacturers are quick to adopt the latest technologies , which is why Qualcomm's 3D Sonic Max is found in flagships like Vivo X80 Pro and iQOO 9 Pro. While Samsung's latest flagships have yet to apply this new biometric authentication technology.

However, according to Alvin, a rumor says the 3D Sonic Max fingerprint sensor will be found in the Galaxy S23 Ultra launched early next year.

It is known that the use of this technology not only increases the surface area for users to authenticate, but also speeds up the unlocking of the screen.

The only plausible explanation for why Samsung has yet to use Qualcomm's 3D Sonic Max on Samsung's flagships is due to increased production costs.

And according to a recent rumor, all Galaxy S23 variants will ship with Qualcomm chipsets next year. Perhaps an additional condition would be for Qualcomm to sell the 3D Sonic Max Qualcomm sensor to Samsung at a lower price.
