Yesterday, Electronic Arts revealed the main details of the second season of Battlefield 2042. Titled Weapon Masters, the update features a new map, Specialist, gear and Battle Pass and starts August 30 on all supported platforms.

In the season, players will have access to the Stranded map , located in the vicinity of the Panama Canal and capable of favoring short distances between soldiers. Its main point of interest is the sunken tanker Starg Ceres, stage for confrontations for the control of military equipment and characterized by the high density of coverage.

Specialist Charlie Crawford joins the war in Battlefield 2042 and brings with him a Mounted Vulcan Stationary Rotary Machine Gun. Its biggest feature is the support attribute, which favors the resurrection of teammates and the replenishment of healing supplies and devices.

In addition to offering a Battle Pass with 100 tiers, Masters of Arms features new weapons — the AM40 Carbine, Avancys Machine Gun, and the PF51 Hybrid — and the Concussion Grenade to disorient enemies. Other novelties of the season are the EBLC-RAM vehicle and the Polaris RZR buggy.

However, the new features in Battlefield 2042 include additional missions to unlock Season 1 vehicles, gear and Specialists, and weapon redemption in All-Out Warfare.

The Battlefield Portal will also receive extra content from the Builder and promises to expand its possibilities, including the implementation of rule modifiers in some modes.

Battlefield 2042 is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC
