The 17-year-old suspect believed to be behind the recent hack into GTA developer R Star has pleaded not guilty to computer misuse charges.
According to Eurogamer the teenager admitted to breaching bail conditions. In a statement to Eurogamer, the City of London Police's cybercrime unit revealed that the 17-year-old appeared in court over the weekend and is now being held in a youth detention centre.
City of London Detective Inspector Michael O'Sullivan said: "The 17-year-old appeared at Highbury Point Youth Court on September 24 and pleaded guilty to breaching bail conditions but not to computer misuse. The teenager has been taken into custody. to a juvenile detention center."
The teen is believed to be part of the hacker group Lapsus$ and was behind the recent extensive GTA6 leak, which included an hour of in-development video, images and artwork.
Rockstar only confirmed that they had suffered a "cyber intrusion" that resulted in leaked information being stolen from its servers.
Rockstar said it was "extremely disappointed" by the leak, but it won't have a "long-term impact" on development.
