We all recognize that iconic sound that is played when a Mac is turned on but this year with the new iPhone 14 and 14 Pro we can get something similar on smartphones too.
One of the changes in the iOS 16 version for the iPhone 14 series is that the startup chime can sound when you power on your iPhone.
This is the first time Apple has applied this to the iPhone and you can completely enable this feature with just a few simple steps. However, there is also a kind of alarm that will sound in case you power off your phone.
The new start-up chime is exclusive to the iPhone 14 series. It's currently not available on the iPhone 13 Pro or any earlier iPhone models even if they're upgraded to iOS 16.
The reason for this problem is that the alarm is still active as soon as the Apple logo is displayed when you hold down the side button. When the Apple logo appears, there will be no operating system running. Instead, the chime is built into the bootrom itself and embedded in the firmware of the A16 chip.
Bootrom is read-only and can't be modified, so Apple can't add it to previous iPhones. Many people think that Apple will not use this new startup chime feature as a trick to get you to upgrade to the update
After you complete these steps, your iPhone 14 will play a sound when it's powered off and when it's powered on.

How To enable Startup and Power off Sounds on iPhone 14:
The switch for the new start chime is in the Settings app's Accessibility menu. The startup chime gives them a surefire way to know when their iPhone 14 has been turned on, as Steven Aquino explains on Twitter. The steps are performed in turn as follows:- Open settings
- Select Accessibility
- Tap “Audio/Visual” in the “Hearing” menu
- Enable/disable option with “Turn sound on and off”
After you complete these steps, your iPhone 14 will play a sound when it's powered off and when it's powered on.
