Yesterday, Samsung started rolling out the stable release of OneUI 5, starting with the Galaxy S22 series (at least the Exynos versions).

However, Samsung also released a 2-minute video, introducing an overview of the new features in this version.

The company has added a lot of new customization features, both automatic and manual, to make your phone (and watch) look just the way you want it to. There are also some practical improvements such as stacking widgets to save space on the screen.

For devices with larger screens (such as the Galaxy Fold), there is a new taskbar. One UI 5 also combines Privacy and Security controls into one common interface with automatic alerts if something suspicious is happening.

Releasing the upgrade in October means Samsung has updated to Android 13 a month faster than last year's OneUI 4 update, which came to the Galaxy S21 series in November, OneUI 4 itself is almost a month faster versus OneUI 3.0 on the Galaxy S20 series in December 2020.
