Blizzard has announced that Overwatch 2 has reached 25 million players in just ten days since its release.
Despite the server instability issues, the title marks an important milestone for the gaming scene and will celebrate the achievement by offering free content to fans.
With this, the game considerably surpasses the performance of Overwatch, which obtained, three months after its debut in 2016, a base of 15 million users.
According to the publisher, the daily player count has nearly tripled from the original title's peak mark, in part due to the new project being free.
In a statement (via BusinessWire), Blizzard also confirmed that it will be offering free cosmetics between October 25th and December 6th.
At the moment, the cursed reaper captain legendary skin and a weapon amulet from the health pack are confirmed. Overwatch 2 is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
