List of the 5 most important features on iPadOS 16.1 that everyone needs to know.
After a long delay since it was announced at WWDC 2022, Apple has now officially released iPadOS 16.1 to all users. For those who are not familiar with this version, there will certainly be many surprises by changes in both the interface and the way the new system works. Therefore, below is a list of the 5 most important features on iPadOS 16.1 that everyone needs to know.

Stage Manager‌

- A new Mac-like multitasking experience and this is also the main reason why ‌iPadOS 16‌ is delayed. ‌Stage Manager‌ allows you to open four application windows at once, swapping between them using the sidebar. ‌Despite receiving a lot of criticism because of the experience, errors arise, so it still needs a little more time for users to respond. This feature currently supports iPad models M1, M2, A12Z and A12X.

Display Modes

- Apple has added new reference modes for iPad Pro users who need to use their device at a professional level. Reference Mode is designed to allow 12.9-inch ‌iPad Pro‌ users to display reference colors in addition to SDR and HDR, while Display Zoom allows options like more space or larger text to be selected in addition to default view. The options are available in the Display and Brightness section of the Settings app.

Mail Update

- Apple has overhauled the Mail app, adding useful features like Undo Send, which lets you change your mind about sent email within 30 seconds. You can also schedule messages and receive follow-up reminders via email that hasn't been responded to.

Update messages

- In the Messages app, you can unsend a message or edit it, as long as the person you're messaging is also using ‌iOS 16‌, ‌iPadOS 16‌, watchOS 9, or macOS Ventura. You can also retrieve deleted messages and mark a conversation as unread, plus FaceTime SharePlay now works in the Messages app so you can watch movies, TV shows, and more., while chatting with friends.

Weather App

- ‌iPad‌ has a Weather app for the first time. It resembles the iPhone app and provides the latest 10-day forecast as well as information on precipitation, air quality, UV index, wind speed, and more.

Freeform (Coming Soon)

- Freeform is an app that Apple plans to introduce later this year. Supports group work and you can use it to take notes, sketch, add links, insert documents, add videos, and more. Multiple people can work on a document together using ‌FaceTime‌ or Messages to communicate.
