Blizzard China Is Looking For Opportunities To Bring The Game Back To Everyone

Blizzard released the latest news earlier today, thanked the players for their support, and said that they are looking for opportunities to bring the game back to everyone in the future.

In the past two days, we have seen the precious memories and past events related to Blizzard games that everyone sincerely narrated.

We are grateful for the enthusiasm and creativity that you have conveyed to us over the past nearly 20 years. Our games are the best testimonials of people having fun, making lifelong friends, and building communities.

These all prove that it is games that connect us all. We are looking for opportunities to bring our game back to you in the future!

AndroBliz learned that on November 17, Blizzard Entertainment issued a statement stating that due to the existing licensing agreement with NetEase will expire on January 23, 2023, most Blizzard game services in mainland China will be suspended.

These Blizzard games include World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Overwatch, StarCraft, Warcraft III: Reforged, Diablo III, and Heroes of the Storm . Additionally, the co-development and distribution of Diablo Immortal involves a separate agreement between the two companies.

Blizzard Entertainment's statement pointed out that the two parties have not yet reached a renewal agreement that is in line with Blizzard's operating principles and commitment to players and employees.

Netease said that after a long period of negotiations, it still could not reach an agreement with Activision Blizzard on some key terms of cooperation.

Analysts pointed out that there are currently many game companies that have become potential interested parties in negotiations with Blizzard, including Tencent, ByteDance, Perfect World, Station B, etc.
