The two GM electric vehicles participated in the 2022 China International Import Expo, which opens in Shanghai on November 5, 2022.

China, the world's largest auto market, is no stranger to electric vehicles. GM is trying to prove to the world that it can really make a splash when it comes to electric vehicles.

GM will sell its future electric vehicles in China under a new business unit called The Durant Guild. It is reported that the sales method will be direct sales.

In the debut of the incredibly unique and highly customizable Cadillac Celestiq, Durant's president and managing director Felix Weller noted that GM's emphasis on bringing its most iconic products to the market as imports China. He added that this "exclusive and handcrafted" car sets a new standard for the future.

Celestiq will eventually be available to order in China. Once an order is placed, Cadillac will hand-build the vehicle at its global technology center in Warren, Michigan. As for the Hummer EV SUV, GM did not specify further details or a release date for the Chinese market.
