After delaying the game once again, Ubisoft has decided to suspend sales of the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The title was removed from the catalog of major international retailers and buyers were duly refunded.

However, through an FAQ, Ubisoft provided some clarification on the development of the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake.

According to the publisher, the title is under active development by the Montreal office, but no release date has been set.

The answers about the project remain quite inconclusive, but the company reiterates its work on the game especially after rumors about a possible cancellation.

The publisher also reinforces that it will share more information "when it's ready", confirming a new pre-order period in the future.

Another detail that drew attention was a message about the future of the Prince of Persia franchise on consoles. The start of the PlayStation 2 trilogy could be the first and last remake of the series as " there are no plans to remake any other titles".

Additional news about the game will be announced on social media or through the official website.
