Take-Two Interactive revealed in its earnings presentation for the second quarter of 2022 that Rockstar’s “Red Dead Redemption” series of games has sold more than 70 million copies worldwide.
The Red Dead Redemption series is Rockstar's second most popular video game, with two titles currently in total.
The latest data from Take-Two confirms that the first generation of Red Dead Redemption sold 24 million copies, and the sales of Red Dead Redemption 2 reached 46 million copies.
AndroBliz learned that the first generation of "Red Dead Redemption" was released as early as 2010 and can only be played on the console platform.
And "Red Dead Redemption 2" landed on the PC platform, carried out a comprehensive innovation on the basis of the original generation, and achieved double success in sales and word of mouth.
However, the series of online games "Red Dead Online" did not achieve the same great success as the two stand-alone games, at least it did not get enough attention from R star.
In July of this year, Rockstar announced that it will focus on the development of "GTA 6" and stop major updates to "Red Dead Online".
