Striking Distance now focuses on upcoming content for The Callisto Protocol. For February 2023, Hardcore mode and New Game+ are already in the plans.

However, have you wondered which hardware The Callisto Protocol has performed best on? The channel “ElAnalistaDeBits”, known for comparing games on different hardware, produced new content focused on the Striking Distance game. In the video, you can see how the experience has been on PS5, Xbox Series X / S and PC.

As far as the resolutions of each of the ports are concerned, the list looks like this:
  • PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X : 4K/30 FPS with Ray Tracing (Quality Mode); 4K/60 FPS (Performance Mode);
  • Xbox Series S: 1440/30 FPS;
  • PC : Max settings + Ray Tracing.
The analyst waited for the patch with updates for all platforms to be released to produce the comparison.

As you can see, at times the reflections were better on PS5 and PC. When using the Quality mode with ray tracing (even on the computer), the resource is seen as a function that only serves to make the FPS stay below 60 frames, according to the analyst.

The delivery of shadow and lighting effects on PS5 and Xbox Series X was highly praised, but the PC version seems to be the big problem. For the youtuber, there are some bugs with the Quality mode, inconsistent even on a high-performance machine.

Despite this, he believes in improvements for the game in the future:

Leaving aside the performance that may be better on some platforms, I have no doubt that The Callisto Protocol will be a success and serve as the basis for a great franchise. On a personal level, it's nice to play a game in pure Dead Space style again with a Glen Schofield touch.
